Clerk Mike Mathes moved to begin the boundary‑change procedure; Treasurer Jerry Glasgow seconded the motion and it carried 3‑0. Oliva said he will research the required notice and procedural steps for informing affected residents and will update the Board when that information is clarified.
The vote authorizes staff to proceed with the administrative steps necessary to start the formal boundary change; no final transfer or formal annexation was completed at the meeting. The Board did not set a timeline for petitions, hearings, or formal filings and Oliva indicated he will report back with the specific notification process when it is known.
