Township approves promotions, hires, terminations and bonuses through 2020

The board promoted Steve Vess to Road Foreman (approved 3-0 at the June meeting) and authorized Mr. Oliva to terminate Carl Harvey if his CDL was not reinstated by July 31.
At year end the board approved bonuses and raises: a $1,000 bonus for Chief Schmitt, and a 4% cost-of-living raise plus a $2,500 bonus for Administrator/Road Superintendent Bob Oliva. Several resignations and staffing shortfalls were discussed as the township balanced coverage and overtime during snow and pandemic conditions.
