At its Aug. 6 meeting, the Soldier Township Board recorded the following formal actions: approval of the consent agenda (July 2 minutes, accounts payable, July 2024 bank reconciliations); authorization to purchase a 2004 Ford F750 from Federal Surplus for a price not to exceed $40,000; approval to buy 500 tons of SnowSlicer Enhanced Salt from Central Salt at $85.23/ton (total $42,615); renewal of a mutual aid agreement with Topeka Fire Department and Shawnee Heights Fire District; and a motion to adjourn. All recorded votes were 2-0.
The consent agenda vote and the procurement approvals were moved and seconded by Members Karl McNorton and Jerry Glasgow; the mutual-aid renewal was similarly approved. No amendments, abstentions, or roll-call dissent were recorded in the meeting minutes.
