Soldier Township adopts 2021 budget; board schedules budget hearing

On Aug. 4 the Soldier Township Board opened the 2021 Budget Hearing at noon and approved the budget as presented by motion 3-0. Road Superintendent Bob Oliva had provided a 'Financials at a Glance' update in previous meetings and told the board tax revenue should not materially affect operations in the short term.
At the Nov. 17 meeting the board approved a 4% cost-of-living increase for hourly employees. The board recorded the budget adoption and personnel-cost decisions in its minutes and scheduled follow-up administrative tasks related to payroll and budget bookkeeping.
