The Soldier Township Board on Jan. 7 approved the 2019 audit report and a three-year engagement contract with John Welch, C.P.A., who presented the proposal to the board. The motion to accept the audit and engagement contract passed 3-0.
Road Superintendent Bob Oliva presented three year-end resolutions—Resolution 19-01 to transfer funds to the Special Fire Protection Reserve Fund, Resolution 19-02 to transfer funds to the Special Road Equipment Fund, and Resolution 19-03 to transfer funds to the Special Highway Fund established by Resolution 92-2. The board approved all three resolutions 3-0.
Board members at the meeting—Member Mike Mathes, Member Jerry Glasgow and Member Gary Groves—handled the approvals as part of the meeting’s consent actions. No controversy or public opposition to the audit or the resolutions was recorded during the segment.
