Board accepts $30,000 Petrar Foundation donation to Little Falcons program

The Faribault Public Schools board accepted gifts and donations under Resolution 27-01, including two bags of clothing donated by Jeannie Johnson and a $30,000 donation from the Petrar Foundation earmarked for the Little Falcons program.
"A huge thank you to the continuous support that we have from the community," Director Chad Wolf said during discussion, noting that the Little Falcons program — free extracurricular programming for kindergarten through fifth grade — enrolled over 800 students last year and has been supported repeatedly by the Petrar family. The board conducted a roll-call vote in which all six directors present voted "Aye" and the resolution passed 6-0.
Directors thanked the foundation and volunteers; the donations will be accepted and the district will continue administering the Little Falcons activities that pair students with coaches and varsity players for sports and other enrichment.
