Faribault High gets school-based health center offering medical, dental and vision care

The Faribault Public Schools board heard details July 20 about a new school-based health center at Faribault High School that officials say will expand access to medical, dental and vision services for students and the community.
"The clinic will provide convenient access to health care services, including medical, dental, and vision care," Superintendent Venty said, describing a space that includes a dental chair, a vision room and a separate entrance for community members. The center will be operated by Health Finders Collaborative, Venty said.
Administrators framed the center as part of broader summer improvements across the district, including McKinley’s conversion to the Faribault Area Learning Center and classroom renovations at Roosevelt and Jefferson. The board’s facilities work includes a ribbon-cutting for the new ALC on Wednesday, Aug. 26 at 3:30 p.m., when tours of the renovated space will follow.
District leaders said the clinic is intended to make care more convenient for families and to support student health needs that can affect attendance and learning. "It's operated by Health Finders Collaborative," Venty added, thanking buildings-and-grounds staff and community partners for helping prepare district facilities for the school year.
