Charlie Krebs reviewed the Tier 1 and Tier 2 traffic calming strategies in the draft Traffic Calming Assessment 2025 and said initial education-based road, bike and golf cart safety measures are underway. Mr. Krebs told the board three permanent and one mobile radar speed signs will be delivered throughout the property the first week of February, and that "speeding violations have decreased."
Eric Long asked Krebs to update Page 9 of the report to include the Traffic Study conclusion and requested that Board members flag any additional areas of concern. The Board discussed resident outreach (including Safety Saturday events), potential 'Do not pass golf cart' signage at the front entrance and crosswalks, and noted that the Pelican Sound Board is reviewing changes to traffic violation bylaws.
