Rich Batterberry, a resident and neighborhood representative for Oak Run, told the board residents were pleased with recent work along Seaside 1 and Seaside 2 and urged River Ridge to consider similar work near Lake 8 because "the water is getting under the foundations," and one resident "incurred significant costs trying to mitigate water coming up through the floor." Charlie Krebs reviewed the Seaside scope and said the Lake 8 issues could likely be addressed by completing similar regrading that had not previously been performed in that area.
Bob Schultz told the public the issue would be considered as part of the Fiscal Year 2025/2026 budget process. Staff noted that addressing the problem could require regrading, littoral plantings and possibly other stormwater measures; Eric Long said Krebs will obtain costs to replant Cord Grass and Arrowhead behind 20859 Glen Eagles Lakes Drive for later consideration.
