Work nears completion at Manuel Brother’s Park; ribbon-cutting TBD

Robin Lucero reported that Barry’s Electric has nearly completed the electrical wiring at Manuel Brother’s Park and that Black Hills Energy donated the wire and provided labor from the transformer to the meter. Lucero said asphalt and curb-and-gutter work remain and the city will set a ribbon-cutting date once the final work is scheduled.
The project update was presented under Public Works; no procurement motions or new funding requests were recorded at the Oct. 6 meeting. Commissioners acknowledged the update and asked staff to report back when the final work and ribbon-cutting date are set.
