Treasurer Deb Jones told the Selectboard that the homestead education tax rate for Sharon rose from $1.6095 last year to $1.6425 this year — an increase she described as approximately 3.3 cents. She said the non‑homestead rate increased by 0.0067 cents and that preliminary municipal numbers indicate the FY27 municipal tax rate will be within budgeted expectations once the Listers finalize rates.
Deb also reported the Town had budgeted $125,000 of PILOT income for FY27 but now anticipates receipts closer to $134,332. The board did not record further deliberation on tax policy at the meeting; Deb said the Listers will finalize rates for Selectboard consideration within the next meeting or two.
