Students of the month honored as Greencastle schools begin 2024–25 year
Summary
Students from each grade-level school were recognized at the Greencastle Community School Corporation board meeting; Superintendent Jeff Gibboney welcomed the community to the 2024–2025 school year and thanked parents and transportation staff for adapting to construction changes.
Board President Ed Wilson opened the Aug. 26 meeting and the board recognized Students of the Month across district schools. The students honored were Tristan Pridemore (Greencastle High School), Jaxson Cooksey (Greencastle Middle School), Brynlee Rowings (Tzouanakis Intermediate), Rosalee Messer (Deer Meadow Primary) and Kaleb Styers-Fleshman (Ridpath Primary). Rosalee Messer led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Superintendent Jeff Gibboney welcomed everyone to the start of the 2024–2025 school year and thanked parents, students and the transportation department for adapting to construction-related changes affecting routines. The recognitions and superintendent remarks were presented at the start of the meeting and offered a public acknowledgment of student achievement and operational adjustments as the year begins.
