Library board honors Director Dan for 20 years of service

"So 20 years ago, I started working at the Kimbell Junction branch as a part time library clerk," Dan said, adding that Summit County supported him through a two-year master's program at the University of North Texas. Dan said he served as interim director in 2010 and became director in 2011.
Board members praised Dan's long service and dedication to the community; the gathering included light refreshments and brief remarks about his leadership during multiple branch projects. The board noted the milestone as part of the meeting's opening remarks before moving on to the director's report and regular agenda items.
