Chair Robert Fred Blanchard advised that Carpenter Park is used as a landing zone for DHART (Dartmouth‑Hitchcock Advanced Response Team) and members expressed concern that existing volleyball posts could interfere with helicopter operations. The Chair agreed to cut the posts down to reduce risk and also reported he purchased and installed a new volleyball net.
Separately, Vince Vermette proposed researching what installing a pickleball court would entail. The board discussed possibly moving the volleyball net and a future pickleball court to the area with lights, but no decision was made and Vince was assigned to research installation requirements before the group considers a formal proposal.
