Charlotte Conservation Commission approves minutes, shifts fall meeting dates and sends vision statement to local papers

The Charlotte Conservation Commission approved the July meeting minutes and updated its fall meeting schedule at the Aug. 27 session held at Town Hall and on Zoom. Members voted to move the November meeting to Nov. 19 and the December meeting to Dec. 17; the calendar updates were noted as posted on the town calendar.
Commissioners also voted to send the commission’s vision statement to two local publications. Natalie Kanner reviewed a proposed swap of two paragraphs in the draft vision statement, and a motion to send the revised statement to the Charlotte News and the Citizen with the commission’s names was made, seconded and approved. The actions were recorded as formal motions during the administration portion of the agenda.
The meeting record shows Sharon Mount and Claudia Mucklow listed as current DRB reviewers who will continue in that role; the commission discussed rotating reviewer assignments and possible town-office support or external trainings from the Vermont League of Cities and Towns or the Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission (CCRPC) to improve consistency.
