Trail construction underway; committee to seek roughly $50,000 reimbursement for contractor payments

"So we paid 56,000, something like that, to John and we got 50,000," the Chair said when summarizing the payment and reimbursement plan, adding that the first reimbursement request would largely offset an advance the town or grant program had provided. Members confirmed John had been paid for initial materials and mobilization and that the town match would cover the residual.
The construction update included placement of a gravel base, stone across the trail in places to mitigate water flow, and boardwalk timber staged by the softball field. Members said some culverts and culvert end-work were installed but that additional materials and final top surfacing had not yet been completed.
