The Beaufort County caucus opened with the pledge of allegiance and a notice that the meeting had been advertised in compliance with the South Carolina Freedom of Information Act, the chair said.
The chair then asked for a motion to approve the caucus meeting agenda. "I have a motion by Councilman Passamit and a 2nd by Councilman Larson," the chair said, and the chair announced, "All in favor by show of hands And it passes unanimously." The record shows the agenda was adopted without recorded dissent.
There was none of the council discussion that sometimes follows initial business; the chair stated, "At this time, we do not have any council member discussion." The meeting moved on to announce items for a forthcoming executive session.
