At its July 14 meeting the Town of Jackson Board adopted a new ordinance, 32.5, intended to adopt misdemeanor crimes and un-enhanceable offenses consistent with changes to the state criminal code.
Town Attorney Haley Major Green introduced the ordinance. Mitch Harrell moved to adopt Ordinance 32.5 and William Free seconded; the board recorded no opposition and the ordinance was adopted.
The minutes do not include the full text of the ordinance; the town attorney will provide the official ordinance language for publication in the municipal code and for public review.
