LCHS band, choir and winter activities highlighted at Labette County board meeting

Stacy Smith, principal at Labette County High School, praised the LCHS Band and Choir for recent participation in SEKMEA district events and thanked families and local businesses for support during the football playoff season. "Mrs. Smith gave a huge shout out to Megan Gabehart and the LCHS Band," the record shows.
Smith also reported that several LCHS students wrote letters to state representatives regarding private schools and that about 160 students are involved in winter activities this season. Tiffany Flatt and Spence Allison had no additional items to add during the administrative reports.
Superintendent John Wyrick also noted the State Board of Education will present information on ABA therapy during the upcoming Legislative session and reminded the board the Legislative Tour is scheduled for the following day.
