School staff updated the board on spring athletics and student achievements, detailing several record-breaking performances and postseason schedules. "Addie Daniels set the league record for shot put for 7th grade girls," an athletics staff member (S10) reported, and the district recorded multiple new school records this season, including a new 400-meter record, a 7th-grade girls' pole vault record and four new turbo javelin records for middle school competitors.
Staff also noted junior high golf players finished first in every tournament they entered and the softball team finished 23-3 and remained the No. 1 seed entering postseason play. Coaches and staff were commended for organizing league track and other events; upcoming regional dates for track and golf were listed so families and athletes can plan for postseason play.
Board members congratulated the students and coaches and acknowledged parent chaperones who supported recent events.
