Kansas Rural Water Association honors Norton employee for wastewater apprenticeship

Monica Wirtz of the Kansas Rural Water Association recognized a Norton employee, Chris, for completing the association's wastewater system operations apprenticeship program.
Wirtz said the apprentice completed 4,000 hours of on-the-job training and 288 hours of related technical instruction and has earned wastewater class 3 and water class 2 certifications. “I'm here to present this certificate to Chris,” Wirtz said; council members congratulated Chris and thanked staff for participating in the apprenticeship partnership.
Wirtz praised Norton’s collaboration with the apprenticeship program and said the association looks forward to continuing the partnership.
