During new business, City Clerk Jodi Wade read language from paragraph 9(b) of the City of Linn Valley Water Purchase Agreement requiring the purchaser to pay for a minimum of 12,000,000 gallons annually beginning either on the purchaser’s first metered consumption or three years after receipt of a USDA letter of conditions of approval. Wade noted the three-year period may be extended by mutual agreement if installation delays occur and sufficient evidence shows diligent progress.
After discussion, Mayor Debra Wilson asked the clerk to reach out to Linn Valley and schedule a meeting with the Water Committee, the clerk and the mayor to review contract progress and specific dates. The council did not take further action at the meeting; staff follow-up was requested to confirm timelines and any extension needs.
