Council holds attorney and personnel executive sessions; continues policy reviews

The council moved into executive session twice during the meeting for privileged matters.
At 9:15 p.m. the council voted to meet in executive session for 10 minutes for consultation with the city attorney; attendees included City Attorney Burton Harding and City Clerk Jodi Wade. Open session resumed at 9:25 p.m. The council then voted at 9:30 p.m. to go into executive session for 10 minutes concerning a non-elected personnel matter related to a police-department employee; the session included Clerk Wade and the council resumed open session at 9:40 p.m.
Outside of executive session the council continued review of draft policies including a company vehicle use policy, a rental-ready (landlord registration) program, draft Article 3 on work-site utility vehicles/golf carts/ATVs, Article 5 on parking, a social-media policy and discussion about pursuing a BNSF quiet zone. No policy was finalized at the meeting.
The council recorded the executive-session motions and listed attendees; no public actions or votes were taken within the executive sessions.
