The finance committee reported on supplemental bills, the June financial reports and transfers, and an initial charter school payment that increased the year‑to‑date charter cost to approximately $1.7 million. Jimmy (speaker 10), committee chair, said the initial payment did not include transportation costs.
The committee reviewed food service operations and how surplus amounts are being applied to programs and facilities that support student meals. District staff also briefed the committee on next steps for Department of Education applications intended for building improvements and discussed a possible referendum to support those projects.
Finance items and the referenced DOE application steps were included in the meeting packet and will proceed through normal board review and approval processes.
