Board members reviewed a proposed KSB policy update that includes language governing law‑enforcement access to school buildings and the process for identifying off‑duty officers. The District Administrator said she and legal counsel will seek clarification about whether the district may alter specific language and will bring firm recommendations to the July meeting.
"I am going to the school law conference tomorrow, and Amy and I will friendly reminder our KSB attorneys that we need some clarification on law enforcement entering the building, off duty officers, and that process of identifying who they are," the District Administrator said. A board member asked that staff bring suggested edits to address practical questions about visitor procedures and enforcement.
