Complex operators say Creve Coeur draws teams from 29 states and generates multimillion-dollar events

"We regularly see more than 1,000,000 people a year that visit the complex," Hayes said, and he cited a recent 24-day period that hosted more than 800 teams, 1,249 games and 14,000-plus U.S. youth soccer players from 29 states. Hayes said the largest events have produced an economic impact of more than $10,000,000.
Hayes argued additional turf fields and improved amenities would allow the complex to compete for larger tournaments, create home fields for smaller local clubs, and sustain the complex's role as a regional soccer destination.
