Doctor Rich presented the district's staff exit-survey findings, noting higher participation than in prior years and that combining in-person interviews with written responses produced richer qualitative data.
Rich highlighted that exiting employees frequently cited pride in the district and positive relationships with colleagues, but also identified themes requiring action: supervisory consistency, support-staff sustainability (wages/hours), and early-tenure retention (year 1'5 departures). "Pride is a word," Rich said, describing positive sentiment among many respondents. He outlined action steps including improved onboarding, supervisory development, role-specific training, and sharing findings with cabinet and building leaders. Board members asked for periodic follow-up reporting and local building-level data to drive targeted projects.
