Councilmember Mike Pasley moved to approve the full consent agenda, saying "approve Consent Agenda Items A-F," and Council President Dan McCauley seconded; the motion carried 5-0. The consent agenda listed the Mayor's appointments of non-elected officials, Board of Zoning Appeals members, Planning Commission members and Tree Board members; it also included approval of a Lake Level Monitoring Agreement with Earth Networks (an AEM subsidiary) and the minutes from the April 6, 2026 regular meeting.
The Lake Level Monitoring Agreement was included on the consent agenda and approved without separate discussion. The council's unanimous vote (5-0) finalized the contract approval as part of the consent package. The minutes state that action items were recorded by Building Official Charles McAllister in the absence of City Clerk Kathy Bounds.
The council did not request additional public comment or hold separate debate on the consent items during the meeting. The approval of the consent agenda completes several routine personnel and advisory-board appointments and authorizes the lake-monitoring agreement to proceed as recorded in the minutes.
