The board unanimously approved an award of the rooftop unit replacement project for the Kirkwood High School locker rooms to Integrated Facility Solutions Group (IFS) for the base bid of $187,000.
Mister Cook described the replacement as part of the district's five-year maintenance plan and said the units were original to 2008 and beyond expected service life: "This was part of the 5 year maintenance plan that was presented in December, and, this is not a surprise that these units are... installed in 2008 and are past their lifespan." Board members confirmed the project was already budgeted and that the award draws on the maintenance fund. The motion to award to IFS passed by voice vote.
