“They have retained counsel. Please avoid conversations about the contract,” a council member said, clarifying that council members may address facility issues (broken toilets, ceiling tiles) but should not discuss contract terms directly with commission members while attorneys are involved. The council agreed to wait until counsel has reviewed the draft and to schedule a follow-up meeting later.
One council member asked for more timely notice for future meetings and the clerk said she would improve notification timing; no decisions on the lease itself were made at the meeting.
