$10 button serves as ticket for Aitkin street dance; bands, vendor fair planned Friday

Stephanie Mallett said the chamber is reviving a Friday night street dance as part of Riverboat Days and will use event "buttons" as admission. "They are $10 a button," Mallett said, and wearing a button will grant entry to the street dance and may unlock discounts at participating local businesses. She named King's Ransom and Sugar Buzz as the music lineup.
Buttons are available online via aitkincountyfriendsofthearts.org and in person at the Chamber office, The Moose, Mid Minnesota Federal Credit Union, Rosalini's and Powell & Company, Mallett said. The festival seeks to highlight local businesses by routing the street dance on a closed block with the stage at the stoplights to boost visibility and foot traffic.
