The ordinance (2024-15) amends the floodplain-management article to remove redundant language already covered by building-code updates and to ensure local rules reference the new FEMA maps.
The board voted to recommend the ordinance to the City Commission. Staff said the new maps will supersede previous maps and that building-department enforcement will follow the new effective date; no specific financial relief or exemption was mentioned during the hearing.
