Wiley Elementary 2nd graders present 'Big Truck Day' to the board

Second-grade students from Wiley Elementary told the board about their 5th annual Big Truck Day. Student speaker Bennett Cunningham (speaker 5) introduced the group: "My name is Bennett Cunningham, and we are 2nd grade students at Wiley." He described the May 8 event at the Wiley bus drive, noting students saw fire trucks, tractors, bucket trucks and more, researched community careers, interviewed local helpers and made presentation boards.
A teacher/presenter (speaker 4) thanked the 2nd-grade teachers and families for organizing the event and highlighted that the project helps students learn about careers and community roles. Board members asked light follow-up questions (for example, which truck was a favorite and how many trucks attended); the students answered with details and the board praised the reading and presentation effort.
