School superintendent urges council to study drainage and parking safety near school

Clint Corby, introduced to the council as superintendent of Unified School District 410, asked the council to review a stretch of street next to the school where ponding and poor slope create safety risks for pedestrians and school buses. Mayor Mary directed public works to have Darren inspect the area and coordinate with the district. Council members discussed possible fixes (patching, overlays, curb replacements) and noted there is no stormwater infrastructure in that block, so solutions may require a broader street package or special assessment discussions with property owners.
