Selectboard revises Highway Fund line items ahead of grant projects

During its Jan. 24 meeting the Isle La Motte Selectboard revised several Highway Fund line items in anticipation of two upcoming grant projects. Paving and blacktop was set at $4,000, engineering was set at $1,000 to cover Northwest Regional Planning Commission support for grants, and $300 was budgeted for erosion control tied to the grant work.
The board also included $3,000 as a possible Road Commission allowance, $1,000 for miscellaneous road labor for unplanned contractor calls, and $500 for a Road Erosion Inventory. Assistant Treasurer Steve Mank spoke to the Highway worksheet updates that incorporate these changes and to reordering accounting line items for easier year-over-year comparisons.
