The Isle La Motte Selectboard on Jan. 15 reviewed a $3,000 appropriation request from the Recreation Department. Ruth Casey, Co-Chair of the Recreation Department, outlined that the funding would cover items remaining after a 2024 insurance inspection, park sports equipment, and an allowance for activities. The board confirmed that major or recurring work—such as playground repairs/upgrades and routine mowing—would be covered by the Town, while equipment and supplies would be charged to the Recreation budget.
Casey told the board that paving the Veterans Park parking lot would be welcome the next time the town schedules a large paving project if the budget allows. Selectboard members asked staff to track capital paving opportunities and incorporate any feasible requests into broader paving grant and match planning.
