Commerce reallocates $50,000 to finish two placemaking projects after Westerly award terminated

The reallocation would increase each award from $107,500 to $132,500 to cover unforeseen costs and ensure completion of Thomas Dambo troll-structure installations.
Board members asked whether procurement rules or RFP procedures prohibited reallocating funds to existing awardees rather than awarding to the next-highest scoring proposal; staff said there were no prohibitions and explained that the next-highest scorer would not have been adequately funded by $50,000. The board voted to approve the reallocation on a voice vote.
