Board hears procurement risk: KONE was the only bidder and parts are proprietary

"When Oklahoma County went out to bid for new elevators, KONE was the only respondent," said Keith, a county staff member. "The new elevators that we're installing now use proprietary KONE parts, which would suggest if we find some other elevator repair company...we'll still be reliant on KONE parts."
