Board approves multiple student field trips including DECA regional and national travel

The Director of Schools presented and recommended approval of several student travel items. Approved trips included Alcoa High School girls soccer to Cleveland, Tennessee (September 2026); multiple DECA marketing trips to Louisville, Kentucky (Nov. 20–22, 2026), Chattanooga, Tennessee (Feb. 23–26, 2027) and Anaheim, California (Apr. 15–22, 2027); and a Lon Fox trip to Lancaster and Hershey, Pennsylvania (May 24–27, 2027).
The board approved the package of field trips by voice vote. The director noted the trips were presented together unless the board wished to address them individually.
