At the July 21 meeting, staff reported the Zoning Commission had referred a Plan Development (PAD) application for a proposed car wash at 10 Dorset Crossing for the conservation commission’s review. Staff said the referral is scheduled for the Zoning Commission’s August 4 meeting and that conservation staff will provide the PAD application materials and indicate whether a positive or negative referral is required.
Commissioners used the business portion of the agenda to raise several other topics. Staff said a broader landscape-regulation rewrite is underway and that native-plant wording will be drafted and returned to the commission for feedback once it is integrated into the landscaping section. A commissioner also asked staff to investigate whether the town uses rodenticides on town properties and to report back with examples of municipal policies; the commission directed staff to assemble that information for a future meeting.
