The Arc highlights community center, supported employment and financial services for adults

On Council Connection, Jared Bradshaw described The Arc of Spokane’s program mix and how those services support adults with disabilities. He said the organization’s community center hosts dances and outings, connects members with local businesses, and is available to people receiving waiver services.
"We have an amazing community center, that's available for anyone that's on waiver services," Bradshaw said. He described one-on-one community inclusion and supported employment, plus a group supported-employment partnership with The Vista, and noted that rep-payee services provide financial-management support.
Bradshaw added that most programming focuses on adults (18 and older) with members into their 70s, while The Arc also runs transitional programs and evening educational classes for people leaving high school.
