"So our big thing is inclusivity," Bradshaw said, adding that The Arc runs a community center for people on waiver services and offers supported employment, rep-payee financial management and supported living. Fletcher said the organization also focuses on family supports and connecting constituents with policymakers.
Wilkerson noted the city’s recent Disability Day event and said Spokane is increasing attention to ADA implementation. Fletcher said The Arc will continue advocacy on special education and caregiver supports, and invited families to the nonprofit’s legislative kickoff in September.
The segment closed with information on how residents can volunteer or donate to support programs funded by thrift-store proceeds and other community fundraising.
