During the public hearing on property conditions, Assistant Clerk/Code Enforcement Geri Ebersohl described the city’s interactions with property owner Hollie Jimenez and said the city had even contracted yard work at the site. Hollie told the governing body she does not plan to give up ownership and asked what steps were required to return the properties to compliance.
The council told Hollie she must provide a structural inspection report from a licensed structural engineer or inspector demonstrating whether the house and church can be occupied. Councilmember Kyle Hrabe moved to adopt Resolution 28-2024, giving Hollie thirty (30) days to provide the report and directing the council to hear a follow-up plan of action to determine feasibility under city codes. Harley Laughlin seconded the motion and it passed 4-0.
