Council closes out CDBG splash pad project after monitoring report

Mayor Kris Semisch presided over a special meeting on Oct. 21, 2024, where the governing body heard a final monitoring update on the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) for the city splash pad. Rose Mary Saunders told the council the city’s last monitoring visit was published Oct. 12, 2024 and that the total reported was $1,239,889.86; she said the city will receive an additional $11,000 to complete the closeout.
The council reconvened at 6:45 p.m. and voted to close out the CDBG project. Councilmember Kyle Hrabe moved to close out the project, Councilmember Harley Laughlin seconded, and the motion passed 4-0. The council did not record additional conditions or follow-up requirements in the meeting minutes provided.
