Deputy Clerk Kerry Rausch reported the Park Board balances: Capital Outlay $62,242.00 (of which $49,299 is allocated for new playground equipment at Fraze Park), $1,679.56 earmarked for T‑Ball, $185.12 earmarked for Active Adults, and a Park Land balance of $42,310.62. Board members asked how park improvements are primarily financed; Administrator Bromeland explained the City Council budgets for the Park Board through the tax levy and that recently the Park Board has received $50,000 a year, with grants and donations used to fill funding gaps.
The board also heard a brief update that the season’s final T‑Ball games will take place this weekend and coordinators were thanked for their work. Members requested staff continue to report needs or concerns in parks to the City office so funding and maintenance can be coordinated.
