Swing set purchase approved for Fraze Park; DMI to donate ground‑leveling work

Administrator Bromeland told the Park Board that at its July 6 City Council meeting the council approved purchase of a swing set for Fraze Park and asked that it be blue to match other equipment. Installation of the ordered equipment is expected this summer and existing benches and picnic tables on hand will be used where possible.
Public Works Director Hartman said DMI will donate labor to level the ground for the new playground equipment. Board members asked staff to investigate a dead tree for removal and noted weeds in an existing play area; Hartman said those weeds are difficult to address without additional wood chips.
