Neighbors urge council to slow Millwoods Park master plan, ask for ballot referendum

"Millwoods Park was left to the town... It belongs to all of us," Bob Woodward said, urging the council to let residents vote on the plan in November. Peter Gardo described what he called a lack of notice and raised concerns about noise and sound studies for proposed courts. Councilors acknowledged concerns, said Park and Rec has been meeting on the master plan, and encouraged continued engagement and volunteer participation on boards and committees.
Councilors said the plan is currently a vision and not a final design, and they encouraged residents to participate in upcoming review sessions; staff and board members will continue outreach and provide study details, including any sound studies, at future meetings.
