By motion of Council member Kyle Hrabe, seconded by Council member Harley Laughlin, the council adopted Resolution 26-2024.
Resolution 26-2024 requires the property owner to submit a structural engineer report within 30 days (by Nov. 6, 2024) to demonstrate the house is habitable. If the owner cannot establish habitability, the city will continue abatement processes. The resolution also gives property owners additional time to provide a repair plan if the structure is deemed habitable, and requires removal of trees, brush and weeds within 120 days or the city will abate the exterior conditions.
