At the Jan. 5 meeting City Clerk Kara Rath administered the Oath of Office to Councilmembers Kim Barnes, Carlton and Rusty McClendon and to Mayor William Nusser as part of council reorganization. The meeting included a ceremonial plaque presentation to outgoing Councilmember Josh Riedel.
Councilmember Rusty McClendon nominated Councilmember Kim Barnes as council president. Councilmember Jason Murray moved to approve the nomination, Councilmember Terry Clark seconded, and the motion carried. The minutes record the administration of the oath and the leadership change but do not include a roll-call vote tally.
