Council approves temporary school‑hour traffic pattern trial to test left turns

Officials said the trial would run roughly a month and the police would report back with safety observations and any needed adjustments.
Members emphasized the trial is not permanent: if the change causes congestion or unsafe conditions it will be reversed or modified. The police and traffic staff will monitor parking, student drop‑off activity and curbside blocking, and return recommendations to council following the trial.
